For evaluations, specific evaluation tools/toys will be brought to the session by the provider.  For treatment sessions, we use the toys that a child has as well as bring our own therapeutic toys/equipment.  The key to successful outcomes is to practice strategies on toys/household items that are readily available to your child.  By doing so, your child can practice these strategies consistently outside of our sessions.  There is so much in your child's natural environment that can be adapted to be therapeutic.

Evaluation sessions last about an hour.  Treatment sessions are usually 30 or 45 minutes depending on the child's needs.  Each child is unique, so we work closely with families to determine the best combination of session time and frequency.  More does not always mean better.  We strive for quality in every session.  The duration and frequency of sessions have to be carefully planned out to allow time for children to practice strategies on their own, yet still be motivated in therapy.

Services

Play to Succeed offers a safe and convenient way for children to receive occupational therapy services.  We schedule sessions at a time that best suits your child and family's routine.  We come to your home or meet in the community (playground, play groups, daycare).  We bring the necessary toys/therapeutic equipment and take safety seriously.  Please review the safety policy below.
